• Our accomodations were excellent. Clean, fresh, roomy and well equipped for everything you need. Jean was a wonderful host - very welcoming and assured us if we needed anything we could ask. The location is perfect, we had a beautiful view and restaurants just outside your door. Tourist attractions all within close proximity. Also handy for a visit into Austria. We had a very nice stay at Jean's flat. We were very delayed due to a major accident on the motorway and Jean and his wife were very understanding and put us at ease with our terribly late arrival. Our staying at the apartment was great! The apartment is very beautiful and it was very well organized and clean. It is located in a great calm place with amazing view. If you are by car this is the perfect choice, you can reach the castles and Fussen easily. If you are by bus (as we were) just pay attention for the buses timeline (during saturday and sunday there is not many buses). I will come back again to this place.

We stayed at Jean's apartment for a weekend. We had a great time hiking and seeing the Neuschwanstein Castle. Jean was very nice and gave us tips and lots of brochures about the area. Apartment was very clean and he even left us some chocolate to take with us. Great place.

Another great Airbnb experience! Jean was very kind and easy to get ahold of. We were stuck in some major traffic which caused us to be several hours late in arriving. Jean was very understanding and waiting for us at the apartment. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4. The bedroom was very spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was fairly large and had an awesome shower, the heating throughout was great. There was nothing to complain about. There is a ski lift literally right outside the apartment along with a sledding hill. My husband went snowboarding and said it was pretty decent for a half day of fun. It took us a beautiful 10 min drive to see the Neuschwanstein castle which was incredibly beautiful. We would love to come back in the summer or fall. Location, apartment and host were fabulous.

We had a very peaceful and hassle free stay at Jean's apartment. We had a kitchen and bathroom to ourselves. The room gave us a lot of privacy. We did not manage to see Jean much but he was very helpful in orientating us around the house. The location of the house is a distance away from the main town of fussen, but is easily accessible by bus 73, about 20 mins ride. However it is near other attractions such as the tegelbergbahn and the castles.

The apartment was even better than it's description. A spacious bedroom with a large and comfy sofa. An internet connexion fast and reliable. A television with a full range of international channels. A sound bar with a bluetooth function enabling us to play our own music from an ipod. Even if the outside temperature was under 10 degrees C the heating was appropriate and we felt very cosy inside. It was full winter and as it snowed every night we had the satisfaction to admire an immaculate landscape each morning! The only remark we can do is that the bed is not really a double bed but two individual beds side by side with two separate quilts. Jean was a very charming host and we shared a very interesting conversation. He also provided us with very useful and practical information. Buching the village where we lived is a small ski station but the is no shop where to rent skiing equipment. Kindly Jean lent us a sledge and we had a good time using it. The bus station is just 100 m from the house. We only can recommand this host and we hope we can come back !t

It was a wonderful stay. Dear Jean, thank you so very much! The apartment is very cosy and so very clean and comfortabe, with very well supplied kitchen - was especially important for us, taking into consideration the 6-year old and a 3-month old children :-) The loops for cross-country skiing start right over the road, and the alpine ski lifts are also very much close; Neuschwanschtein is just 10 minutes away by car, so the location is just perfect. Jean is a wonderful host, very attentive and friendly, easily available over email and on the phone. It was a very relaxing week! Thanks a lot! Hope we will be coming back! By the way, Jean, the audiobook performer I meant (Harry Potter) is Steven Fry :-)

It was a great stay in a wonderful region. Very nice appartment, extremely well-equipped, clean, nice neighbourhood, very quiet. I can find absolutely nothing to complain about. Jean is a very nice host, he even was so kind as to leave a couple of beers for us as a welcome gift. I can totally recommend this place, the location is just a few kilometres away from Neuschwannstein castle. Thank you, Jean, for offering us such nice accomodation for such a reasonable price!

Wir waren hier zu Gast 1 Woche über Silvester 2014 und hatten für uns (2 Erw. 2 Kids) beide Wohnungen gemietet, was total super war.
Die Kids hatten somit ihr eigenes Schlafzimmer und Bad. Ansonsten haben wir uns im Wohnzimmer der großen Wohnung aufgehalten, sofern wir überhaupt drinnen waren.
Beide Wohnungen sind klasse. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht.
Die Gastgeber waren super nett und sehr hilfsbereit.
In der Umgebung findet man alles, was man vom Allgäu erwarten kann: Berge, Seen, Lifte/Gondeln, schöne Wanderwege, die Königsschlösser, Panorama und und und – einfach super hier!
Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt, ich kann die das Haus an der Leite nur wärmstens empfehlen.
Bestimmt kommen wir wieder!

Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt! Die Wohnung ist neu, sauber und sehr gemütlich und schön eingerichtet mit allem was man so braucht! Wir haben die Tage im Allgäu sehr genossen und uns besonders über die Tipps von Jean zum Wandern und Picknicken gefreut! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

What a delightful time at Jean's flat! Amy and I arrived on time and were immediately greeted by our host, who then took us around the flat to demonstrate and explain the numerous features of the apartment. The flat was recently remodeled and is in fabulous shape, with many new furnishings and fixtures. Amy and I utilized the kitchen to save money on food costs and I was very pleased with the wonderful stove and sink and microwave and refrigerator, as well as the small table to enjoy our breakfasts and dinners. The bathroom was spacious and has heated floors and a nice vanity, and the bedroom/living area is furnished with a couch, dresser, small table, TV with blue tooth stereo, and standard European bedding. All lovely. We sat outside in the evenings and enjoyed the wonderful views of the farmland, and since the flat sits on a dead-end road, there is hardly any traffic. Peaceful. The flat is minutes from Neuschwanstein Castle, with a beautiful lake below, and for the more adventurous types, Austria is only a few miles away where the Bavarian Alps await any type of outdoor activity you can imagine. Jean is very personable and helpful and I cannot wait to go back and stay again!

The flat was great. The pictures don't do it justice. We had both apartments that were newly renovated, very clean, quiet and fully stocked. Jean gave us some good tips for the area and we really enjoyed our stay. There was also a baby bed and high chair which made it great for our toddler. We would stay again if we had more international visitors who wanted to see Neuschwanstein.

The place was perfect. Exactly the experience the family wanted. We had a car and everything was only minutes away. The views are fantastic and the house neat and tidy with everything a family requires.
